You probably already know it: Bromont is Quebec’s cycling mecca, no matter your preferred discipline. Whether it’s mountain biking, road cycling, gravel riding, track cycling, BMX, or even fat biking, you’ll be thrilled by Bromont’s unmatched diversity of facilities.
In Bromont, there are over 100 km of developed mountain biking trails shared between Bromont, montagne d’expériences (BME) and Parc des Sommets. The Parc des Sommets features five interconnected networks that are 100% enduro/cross-country. A trail pass is required.
At BME, the focus is primarily on downhill biking, with chairlifts available daily throughout the summer. Some trails also allow for enduro biking.
Bromont and the surrounding area are full of gravel roads, much to the delight of enthusiasts. Whatever your level, you’ll enjoy the scenic views and peacefulness of the backcountry. Many towns and villages are accessible via gravel roads, including Knowlton, Shefford, Waterloo, Sutton, Dunham, and more.
The Centre National de Cyclisme de Bromont (CNCB) has mapped out the best routes for you:
La ptite virée (44km, +480m, CNCB)
L’initiée (54.4km, +482m, CNCB)
Au galop! (68.4km, +861m, CNCB)
The winding roads of Bromont will surely charm you. Countless routes await you—each more beautiful than the last. The Estriade bike path is also a lovely option that connects Granby and Waterloo, passing through Bromont.
For this type of biking, the CNCB offers the following routes:
La découverte (34.4km, +134m, CNCB)
La traverse (67.1km, +228m, CNCB)
La magnifique (99.4km, +589m, CNCB)
Défi du Mont Shefford (114km, +896m, CNCB)
L’Estriade (10 à 54km, départs variables)
Since 2022, the Vélodrome Sylvan Adams has welcomed track cyclists year-round. This 250-meter indoor facility is the only track of its kind in Quebec, reinforcing the city’s position as Quebec’s ultimate cycling destination. To ride the track, a certification is required. This involves two 2-hour initiation sessions where you’ll learn the basics of track cycling. The initiation is an experience in itself if you’d like to discover the sport!
The Centre National de Cyclisme de Bromont offers a variety of facilities for pumptrack and dirt jumps fans, including an indoor asphalt pumptrack and a freestyle area. Additional pumptrack-style installations are also available nearby, including in Adamsville, Cowansville, Granby, Knowlton, and Sutton.
In winter, at Parc des Sommets, explore the Villageois, Mont Oak, Montagne, and CNCB trail networks from a whole new perspective, within a magical winter setting. Other networks include 80 km of groomed trails between Bromont, Granby, and Waterloo, including l’Estriade and Parc de la Yamaska (Sépaq).
