Townships Trail

Sculpture Exhibition
From June 15 to October 31, 2021, the largest international open-air sculpture exhibition in Quebec, Nature and Creation 2021, will be held in the heart of Dunham. Located near the vineyards and trails of the Domaine des Côtes d’Ardoise, the oldest vineyard in Quebec, the exhibition brings together 200 works of art by 75 artists along more than a kilometer of walking trails. This unique event where art, culture and nature come together is a must to add to your list of activities to try in Brome-Missisquoi!
Boulevard des arts
During three weekends in July, August and September, 34 artists from Saint-Armand, Frelighsburg and Dunham open the doors of their studios and invite you to explore them. The Boulevard des Arts will allow you to immerse yourself in the local art of the region’s artists and discover the variety of their works. Paintings, engravings, textile and metal creations, glassworks, sculptures and photographs, there is something for everyone! Just follow the blue flags on this artistic itinerary to learn more.
Museum Tour
Take advantage of your getaway in the Brome-Missisquoi region to tour its museums. Start your tour at the Bruck Museum, a former art center in Cowansville, which houses the Bruck-Lee collection of unique works created between 1890 and 1980. You will find, among others, a painting by Alexander Young Jackson of the Group of Seven, several works belonging to the Beaver Hall Group and historical photographs of Cowansville. A water garden and an outdoor picnic area also await you on the site.
For an immersion in the 19th century, the Musée comté de Brome Museum is the place to stop. You can admire a collection of objects used by the first inhabitants of Brome County and learn more about the region’s earlier origins. Finally, if you’re going to explore the Wine Route, stop by the Missisquoi Museum and visit this three-story flour mill and the Hodge General Store filled with treasures from the past.
