The return of autumn means the return of cold temperatures, but also of these activities we like to save for when the leaves start falling. I know that by this or next weekend, I won’t be the only one putting on a cozy sweater and jeans to go apple picking while snapping a few pictures along the way. We came up with a list of orchards in Bromont, perfect for those who live in the area or anyone who wants a successful Pick-Your-Own experience. I hope to see photos fill up your Instagram feeds!
Les Champs Vallons – Bromont
Les Champs Vallons is a country orchard in the heart of the Brome Lake and Bromont valleys, with a bucolic view. Inviting to relax on the way to Brome (Wine Route and bike path) 7 minutes from the village of Bromont, their site will enchant you. Experience the apple picking as well as plums and pears. What better than spending time outdoors with your family and friends! The orchard is open every weekend in September and October.
PARADIS DES FRUITS – DUNHAM
This eco-friendly estate offers a most enjoyable apple-picking experience. They own a large orchard and offer a variety of local natural products. A kiosk filled with freshly picked fruits is available in both summer and fall to supplement your apple harvest. Don’t leave without trying their famous unpasteurized homemade honey! The farm is located a mere 30-minute driving distance from Domaine Château-Bromont.

DOMAINE DE DUNHAM – DUNHAM
With their over 25,000-tree orchard, the Domaine de Dunham is a prime location for fruit picking. “An oasis of tranquility on an enchanting site,” as the website accurately states. Pick-Your-Own visitors are more than welcome! To add some colour to your basket, choose between different fruits, such as apples, plums, peaches, and pears. The estate also boasts a beautiful reception hall located in a renovated, century-old barn that can hold up to 140 guests. The orchard is less than 40 minutes away from Bromont.

AU COEUR DE LA POMME – FRELIGHSBURG
This orchard has been in business since 1982 and offers a comprehensive experience. On top of apple picking, you can buy a wide variety of artisanal products ranging from cider to jam. What’s more, the site offers a lush picnic space by Pike River. It’s the perfect place to relax on a blanket and enjoy your harvest in a calm and intimate atmosphere. The 40-minute car ride from the mountain is well worth it!
VERGER CHAMPÊTRE – GRANBY
At Verger Champêtre, along with picking apples and many other fruits, you can enjoy #plenty of activities! Trails, petting zoos, and playgrounds are just a few examples of things you can do. Don’t miss out on walking with an animal while you’re here! A unique stroll with a miniature horse or an alpaca is the cherry on top of a perfect day of apple picking. The orchard is only 25 minutes away from the mountain – and it has received numerous prizes.
