Still not sure where to take your vacation this summer, but you know you want to eat well? Brome-Missisquoi is an ideal destination for foodies and the ideal location of the Château-Bromont Domain will give you access to a host of unique gastronomic activities! Discover our 4 favorite stops to start planning your gourmet stay now!
Bromont Confectionery Chocolate Museum
In the heart of the community since 1986, if you have a sweet tooth, this is the ultimate place to stop. Before your chocolate tasting, you can take a guided tour, accompanied by an animator, to learn a little more about your favorite sin. More than forty original flavors will seduce your taste buds, including the strawberry, basil and balsamic trio, honey ginger or caramel fleur de sel.
And if you fall in love with a particular chocolate, you will be able to buy delicacies to take back with you to the confectionery’s boutique. You will also find homemade sponge pulls, creamy sugar, jams and chocolate coulis. You’ll have everything you need to create hearty desserts at home.
Old Bromont Village
The old village of Bromont is as charming as it is full of good places to take a gourmet break and taste the local culinary creations. For vegetarians and vegans, you will be charmed by the inventive cuisine of Chez Gaïa. Featuring fresh and organic garden foods, the chefs also revisit many recipes from around the world in their own way and we love it!
For a good coffee and pastries, we take a break in the refined décor of Café 1792 and, for lovers of gelato and fine cheeses, we stay at the same address, but we stop at Fromage & Crème. If you’re still up for discovering new organic wines, have a drink at Chardo restaurant & wine bar. Their dishes made from local wild products will perfectly match your wine discoveries.
Wine Route
Stretching over 140 kilometers across the Eastern Townships, the Brome-Missisquoi Wine Route is one of the most popular activities in the region. Bringing together 20 exceptional vineyards, some of which are pioneers in Quebec, they account for 60% of Quebec’s wine production.
Four driving tours between 32 and 69 kilometers, including the Axe Sutton, Brome Lake, are available for your adventures among the vines. You can visit your favorites on your own or opt for a tour with Kava Tours if you wish to learn more about the wine culture of Brome-Missisquoi.
Dinner at the 4 Ducks Restaurant
With its impressive cellar, fine local cuisine and splendid view of the mountain, it is not surprising that the 4 Ducks is a renowned gastronomic address in the region. Its dishes vary to follow the rhythm of the seasons and the inspirations of its creative chef, but you can always find a harmony of flavors and a perfect food and wine pairing.
Crispy duck rolls, lobster and clam puff pastry, cheese arancini, grilled filet mignon, coconut milk risotto, your mouth is watering just thinking about it! It’s a safe bet that you won’t be able to resist their succulent desserts either, like the lavender-scented crème brûlée. It’s a good thing because at Les 4 Canards, you can also create your own 4-course table d’hôte according to your tastes and preferences.
This summer, the Domaine Château-Bromont is the ideal place to stay for a vacation rich in exquisite flavors! We can’t wait to show you some of them during your next getaway in our idyllic setting!
